Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Operations to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for a large-scale apparel production facility. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in production management, industrial engineering, production planning, quality systems, supply chain coordination, and factory administration while driving operational excellence, productivity, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall factory operations including Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, Washing, Packing, and Dispatch.
Develop and execute production plans to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost optimization.
Manage Industrial Engineering, PPC, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Administration functions.
Monitor production KPIs, line efficiency, rejection rates, and operational performance.
Ensure smooth coordination with Merchandising, Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
Lead workforce planning, employee development, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with international quality standards, buyer requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
Prepare production budgets and oversee factory profitability (P&L responsibility).
Implement lean manufacturing, process improvements, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Garment Technology, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
15+ years of experience in apparel manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong experience in woven garments, denim, industrial clothing, uniforms, or fashion apparel manufacturing.
Proven ability to manage large production facilities with multiple production lines and a sizeable workforce.
Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering, Production Planning, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management, and Factory Operations.
Experience handling international buyers and export-oriented manufacturing.
Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to relocate and work in an international manufacturing environment.
