Automation QA Engineer

Job Description:

We're looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join our testing team and drive test automation across web and mobile applications for our software and SaaS clients. You'll design, build, and maintain automated test suites, work closely with developers and clients, and help strengthen our clients' release quality and testing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Perform API testing and automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar
• Collaborate with developers and ownership to identify test scenarios and coverage gaps
• Log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
• Analyze test results, debug failures, and maintain automation stability
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews
• Document automation processes, test coverage, and results for internal and client reporting

Requirements

• 5 – 2 years of hands-on experience in automation testing
• Strong foundation of manual testing concepts and techniques
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Working knowledge of at least one automation tool/framework (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress)
• Programming/scripting experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and the defect life cycle
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured
• Exposure to version control (Git) and CI/CD tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Good written and verbal communication skills
