A. Key Activities / Tasks

1 Schedule and Execution of painting of all cranes with internal inspection
Reports and paint Test certificates prior to client Inspection. After
Satisfaction completion of paint Communicate with (AGM) Quality for final inspection.
Final inspection witness with Client/ TPIA. Attend the punch points and get acceptance
of painting.
2 To Prepare Painting Scheme accordingly to customer/Tender specifications for Client
approval, communicate with the customer and resolve customer query related to
painting scheme.
3 Check Blasting & Painting quality as per approved painting scheme/client
requirements/Approved QAP of all components in all units.
4 Distribution of approved painting scheme to planning-Purchase-Store-
Production -vendors -contractors.
5 Generate the Purchase requisition as per paint requirement,
Conduct incoming inspection of paint with verification of shade, batch no,
manufacturing & expiry date of the Paint.
6 Developing painting sample panels for painting parameters whenever Required.
7 Distributes Final Inspection reports for blasting & Painting to relevant
Department & client.
8 Co-ordination with different paint suppliers like hempel ,Jotun, Berger. Etc. Regarding
product quality & deviation.
9 Calculate paint cost , paint consumption according to every work order as per the paint
consumption. Reduce the paint wastage.
10 Monitor paint consumption for every work order.
11 Provide Training for painting operators.
12 Establish the new painting contractor.

13 To maintain ISO format for incoming material and to prepare Work Instructions/
Procedures/ Control Process Charts for QMS ISO 9001.
14 To handling release note / MDDC.

B. Required Skills / Competencies
Technical Skills Prepare & get the approval of the ITP as per the client specification
Understanding of coating systems (primer, intermediate, top coat)
Communicate to the contractor/ Company painting operator and get
painting work as per the schedule date.
Inspection of painting activities as per SSPC codes.
Communicate to TPI/ Client and get acceptance of shot blasting and
painting activities.
Knowledge of safety practices in blasting & painting
Handling and preparing calibration record of inspection instruments
Resolution of queries.

C. Qualification & Experience
Education Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Production /

Metallurgy/M.Sc. (Paints)

Work Experience 8-10 years of experience in blasting / painting

– inspection

Certifications (if any) NACE / BGAS certification (Preferred but not

mandatory).
