SHIFT SUPERVISOR FOR STEEL COMPANY - BHILAI - CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Team Leadership: Delegate daily tasks, organize shift handovers, and motivate staff to meet specific shift goals.
- Operations & Compliance: Ensure all workstations comply with industry safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Training & Onboarding: Coach new employees on company policies, daily procedures, and safe working practices.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage shift schedules, handle attendance and leave requests, and oversee end-of-shift reporting or cash management.
- Problem Resolution: Address customer complaints, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and resolve workplace conflicts promptly.
- Experience: Proven frontline supervisory or team-lead experience in a relevant industry (e.g., retail, manufacturing, hospitality).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-management skills paired with excellent communication capabilities.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of basic workplace software (like MS Word and Excel) and relevant health and safety protocols.
- Physical & Schedule Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours, occasionally lift heavy materials, and work flexible shifts (weekends/nights).
- Education: A High School Diploma or GED is generally required; a degree in Business Management or a related field is a strong advantage.
