Job Description:

Role Overview:
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the manufacturing business, driving profitability, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing strategic financial leadership to support growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:


Financial Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Provide insights to the Board/CEO for strategic decision-making.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
  • Monitor compliance with tax laws, GST, excise, customs, and other manufacturing-related regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee tax planning and closure of books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of income tax, legal, and financial compliance reports.
  • Manage statutory audits (internal and external) and ensure timely completion with full compliance.
  • Review and present monthly accounting reports, including cash flow statements and MIS (Management Information System) reports.
  • Ensure monthly financial reporting and review of financial performance with key stakeholders.

Cost Management & Control

  • Implement effective cost control systems for raw material, production, and supply chain.
  • Conduct variance analysis to improve efficiency.
  • Oversee working capital and cash flow management.

Risk Management

  • Identify financial and operational risks; develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage and internal controls.

Funding & Treasury Management

  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment decisions.
  • Raise funds through equity, debt, or other financial instruments as required.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, compliance, and business growth.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, costing, and supply chain finance.
  • Expertise in taxation, auditing, compliance, and ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership, communication, and decision-making ability.
  • Proven experience in driving profitability and cost optimization.


Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / MBA Finance (preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing sector.
