Purpose of Job

To ensure the nursing division runs smoothly at all times to cater to patient needs and provide quality service.


Key Responsibilities

OPD

  • Responsible for creating all schedules and assigning patients to nursing staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining discipline in the nursing department at the centre at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining team morale at all times in the nursing division.
  • Responsible for maintaining liaison among nurses, patients, families, physicians, management, and other patients.
  • Responsible for quality assurance across the nursing division, maintaining best standards of practice and documentation.
  • Responsible for conducting interviews for nursing staff.
  • Responsible for providing training to all nursing staff at regular intervals as per defined SOP.
  • Responsible for induction of nursing staff for every new joinee in the nursing division as per defined SOP.
  • Responsible for organizing training seminars and courses to educate the staff on new procedures and protocols for the nursing division.
  • Responsible for evaluating the performance of all nursing staff at the centre.
  • Responsible for adherence to all processes and documentation in the nursing division, ensuring all compliance requirements are met, including files, processes, and SOPs.
  • Responsible for taking necessary action/changes for any deviation or error in the department and updating the same to the concerned authorities.
  • Responsible for promptly addressing emergencies/exigencies at all times.
  • Responsible for being proactive and identifying changes that need to be implemented for the betterment of the services and hospital at all times.
  • Responsible for taking regular rounds in the hospital.
  • Responsible for management of all patient complaints.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting all nursing work in the absence of nursing staff and as and when required by the hospital/management.
