About the Role

The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the complete merchandising cycle, maintaining strong buyer relationships, coordinating with sourcing, production, quality, and logistics teams, and ensuring on-time delivery while meeting buyer quality and compliance standards.

This position requires excellent communication skills, commercial understanding, production coordination, and extensive experience in woven garment exports.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end merchandising activities from enquiry to shipment.
• Coordinate with international buyers regarding product development, costing, order confirmation, approvals, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare garment costing and negotiate with buyers to achieve business profitability.
• Coordinate with fabric mills, trims suppliers, washing units, embroidery, printing, and accessory vendors.
• Monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars and ensure milestone adherence.
• Work closely with production, planning, quality, industrial engineering, sourcing, and logistics teams.
• Track order status and proactively resolve production bottlenecks.
• Ensure timely sample submissions including Proto, Fit, PP, Size Set, GPT, and Shipment Samples.
• Coordinate buyer comments and implement required corrections.
• Monitor fabric and trims availability to avoid production delays.
• Ensure buyer compliance, quality standards, and shipment schedules are achieved.
• Participate in buyer meetings, virtual reviews, and factory visits.
• Prepare weekly production and shipment reports for management.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in Fashion, Textiles, Apparel Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience Required

• 8–15 years of experience as a Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser.
• Strong experience in woven garment export merchandising.
• Proven track record of handling international buyers independently.
• Experience managing multiple styles and seasonal collections simultaneously.
