Job Description:

Role Description:
To lead and manage production engineering activities, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes, meeting quality, cost and delivery
targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles, improve productivity and reduce waste.

Responsibility:
1. Lead production engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
2. Design, develop and implement manufacturing processes and systems.
3. Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations and cost-benefit analyses.
4. Collaborate with design engineering to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).
5. Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
6. Implement lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Manage production equipment, tooling and machinery.
8. Troubleshoot production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
9. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and company policies.
10. Mentor and train junior engineers and production staff.
11. Manage budgets, resources and vendor relationships.
12. Collaborate with quality engineering to ensure quality standards.
13. Develop and maintain industry-specific software skills (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX).
14. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.
15. Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
16. Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
17. Undertake special projects as and when required.
18. Ensure good 5S and safety practices at the workplace.
19. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental and other HR Policies.

Authority:
1. Production process improvements and optimizations.
2. Equipment maintenance and replacement.

Accountability:
1. Performing production functions as per plan to improve a company's productivity.
2. Take ownership of their work and take full responsibility for their results
3. Manage production workflows and workflows.
4. Supervise production staff.

Skills:
1. Automotive manufacturing processes (welding, painting, assembly) 2. Quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards (IATF 16949,
ISO 9001) 3. Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement 4. Six Sigma principles and tools
5. Statistical process control (SPC) 6. Electrical and mechanical systemsAdvanced skills in MS Office,

Working Experience:
1. Experience of working in Automotive Industry in Production department.
2. Experience of handling ISO & IATF Audits.
