Job Description:

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to lead our finance and accounting operations for the US business. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in US Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Compliance, and Team Management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the complete US accounting and finance function.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with US taxation, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, SOPs, and process improvements.
  • Analyze financial data and present MIS reports to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounting team, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Support business expansion, risk management, and profitability initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
  • Strong hands-on experience in US Accounting and US GAAP.
  • Prior experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, EPC, or related industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Experience handling audits, compliance, and taxation.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing finance teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Advanced Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Preferred
  • MBA (Finance) from a premier institute will also be considered.
