Job Description:
Responsibilities for machine technician
- Machine chip removal and disposal
- Troubleshoots and repairs software controlled electro-mechanical systems
- Coordinates administrative activities including
- Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul of mechanical systems like, pumps, chillers, gearboxes
- Provide maintenance on various equipment – gas burners, various ovens, vacuum systems, brake press, roll form, friction stir weld, spin lathe
- Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems like pumps, chillers, gearboxes
- Possess full knowledge of all standard measuring equipment including the proper use of micrometers, calipers, comparators and various plug/thread gauges blueprint reading
- Completing periodic machine tool preventative maintenance to ensure machine availability and reliable performance
- Interfacing daily with machinists, replacement part providers, support staff and management to quickly resolve equipment issues and implement future capital
- Other production oriented tasks (product assembly, tool grinding, welding, machining) as schedule permits
