Calibration Executive
Job Description:
About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Calibration Executive to support calibration
laboratory operations. The role involves performing calibration of gas and dust
sensors, operating and maintaining laboratory reference equipment and analyzer
instrumentation, and supporting the day-to-day technical functioning of the
laboratory.
This is an opportunity to build a strong technical foundation in environmental
sensor calibration, with hands-on exposure to reference-grade analyzer
instrumentation and a structured learning path into gas sensor calibration
methods used in next-generation environmental monitoring platforms.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
● Calibration: Perform calibration of gas and dust sensors per established methods and SOPs.
● Analyzer Operations: Operate and maintain analyzers and reference equipment used in the laboratory under supervision.
● Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Support preventive maintenance, intermediate checks, and basic troubleshooting of calibration setups and analyzer instrumentation.
● Records & Documentation: Maintain calibration records, traceability logs, equipment maintenance schedules, and consumables inventory.
● Lab Support: Assist senior lab personnel in calibration cycles, batch processing, and method execution.
● Safety & Gas Handling: Handle calibration gases, cylinders, dilution and zero-air systems safely per laboratory protocols.
● Audit & Improvement: Support internal audits, documentation upkeep, and continual improvement initiatives in the laboratory.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Diploma or B.E. in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
● 1–2 years of hands-on experience in calibration, analyzer service, or operation of reference-grade environmental monitoring instrumentation. Recent graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
● Exposure to gas analyzers (O₃, NO/NO₂/NOₓ, CO, SO₂) and/or particulate monitors (BAM or equivalent) — experience with ACOEM (Serinus, MetOne BAM) or comparable instrumentation is a strong plus.
● Working understanding of calibration gas cylinders, regulators, and basic gas handling.
● Familiarity with preventive maintenance and routine servicing of analytical instrumentation.
● Familiarity with calibration documentation, traceability records, and equipment logs.
● Strong willingness to learn gas sensor calibration methodology and grow within the laboratory's quality and accreditation journey.
● Discipline with documentation, safety protocols, and methodical work habits.
● Good communication, teamwork, and ability to work in a structured laboratory environment.
