Job Description:

Position:           Sr. Design Engineer

Location:          Vapi

Experience:      7 - 9 Years

Industries:       Engineering

Responsibilities:

•  Design and develop mechanical assemblies, enclosures, and fixtures for simulator systems using SolidWorks 

  and other CAD tools.
• Create and manage 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in accordance with engineering standards.
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Prototype, Electronics, and QA — to ensure seamless integration of design with system functionality.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, fitment checks, and material selection to ensure manufacturability and structural integrity.
• Support prototype fabrication, monitor assembly processes, and resolve design issues during testing and trials.
• Prepare technical documentation including design specifications, change notes, and revision updates.
• Work on the creation of digital twins, mock-ups, and simulation structures for product validation.
• Participate in design reviews and implement improvements based on feedback from R&D and production.
• Ensure designs comply with defence manufacturing and quality standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong command of SolidWorks (3D Modelling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, and Drafting Modules).
• Good understanding of mechanical fabrication processes, and machining.
• Knowledge of GD&T, materials, and manufacturing tolerances.
• Familiarity with prototype development and product life cycle management.
• Vendor knowledge for various types of
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams under project timelines.
• Experience in Defence manufacturing or simulator development will be preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD

Required Qualification: B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical
