Production Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time and quality standards.
Monitor manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and documentation.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and other departments for smooth production.
Monitor manpower, machines, materials, and production schedules.
Identify production issues, troubleshoot process-related problems, and implement corrective actions.
Improve productivity through process optimization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
Monitor machine utilization, downtime, rejection, and production efficiency.
Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and raw materials.
Assist in developing and improving SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards on the shop floor.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
Knowledge of production planning and shop-floor management.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM will be an advantage.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
