Crew Coordinator
Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Crew Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and compliant deployment of seafarers on marine and offshore vessels.
This includes crew planning, documentation, compliance with international maritime regulations, coordination with clients and crew.
The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and knowledge of marine crewing procedures, particularly in the offshore and maritime sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage crewing operations for offshore vessels /rigs.
- Plan crew changes and ensure timely mobilization/demobilization of personnel.
- Maintain up-to-date crew matrix and ensure vessel manning meets client and flag state requirements.
- Verify and process crew certifications, STCW documents, visas, flag state endorsements, and medicals.
- Ensure full compliance with MLC 2006, ISM Code, STCW, and client-specific requirements.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of marine and offshore personnel.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, and logistical support for crew movements.
- Maintain accurate crew records in internal systems/databases.
- Handle crew grievances and monitor performance.
- Support audit and inspection processes.
- Maintain communication with vessels, crew, and clients regarding crew-related matters.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of international maritime laws and offshore compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with crewing software and MS Office tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of visa processes and seafarer certification management.
- Experience handling crew for offshore vessels in the oil & gas or renewables sector.
- Familiarity with crewing platforms.
Working Conditions:
Full-time & Office-based role
Occasional overtime during peak financial period.
Experience:
Experience in documentation, coordination and deployment of candidates in different fields. (offshore or marine industry – First preference).
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any stream or diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business Administration, or related field.
Proficient in computer systems and applications.
