Job Description:

To lead and manage the plastic tool and die development process including mold design,
manufacturing, maintenance, and validation. The role focuses on delivering high-precision
injection molds and tooling for plastic components with optimal quality, cost, and delivery.

Primary
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manufacture injection moulds for New Product Development (NPD).
• Perform mould maintenance, preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and
troubleshooting of mould-related issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Hot Runner System moulds.
• Execute tool room processes including machining activities and ensure adherence to
manufacturing standards.
• Prepare and maintain ISO documentation related to tooling and manufacturing
processes.
• Ensure compliance with 4M requirements (Man, Machine, Material, Method) and
customer-specific requirements.
• Understand mould and process design drawings and provide technical inputs to the
design and manufacturing teams for manufacturability improvements.
• Work with SAP (Basic/User Level) for production, maintenance, and inventory-related
activities.
• Apply TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices to improve equipment efficiency
and machine reliability.
• Manage tool inventory, tool costing, and production cost reduction initiatives.
• Possess working knowledge of CNC Milling, Turning, Wire Cut EDM, and EDM
machining processes to support machining operations.
• Guide and support machine operators to achieve targeted productivity, quality, and
output.
• Plan and schedule tool manufacturing, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the tool room team while ensuring effective team
coordination.
• Demonstrate knowledge of plastic raw materials, moulding machines, and injection
moulding processes.
• Identify moulding defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective
corrective and preventive actions.
