Job Description:

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PPC Assistant Manager to manage production planning, scheduling, material availability, inventory control and coordination with various departments to ensure smooth and timely production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plans as per customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Monitor material availability and coordinate with Purchase/Stores for timely procurement.
  • Track production progress against planned schedules and take corrective actions for delays.
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels and monitor WIP, raw material and finished goods.
  • Prepare and maintain PPC reports, MIS and production performance reports.
  • Monitor production capacity, machine utilization and manpower requirements.
  • Identify bottlenecks in production and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and prioritize urgent customer requirements.
  • Maintain and update production planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Analyze production data and provide regular reports to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce downtime and optimize inventory.
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to company processes and quality requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflow.
  • Experience in MRP/ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle production schedules and work under pressure.
  • Good understanding of inventory management and material planning.

Education

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Candidate

  • 7–9 years of relevant experience in PPC / Production Planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates with experience in automotive/engineering/manufacturing industries will be preferred.
