Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Plant HR & Operations Manager to lead people practices and day-to-day operational coordination at our lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Jaipur. This role is responsible for building a high-performance, safety-first workforce while ensuring smooth plant administration, statutory compliance, manpower readiness, productivity support, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on manufacturing HR expertise with a practical understanding of plant operations, workforce planning, industrial relations, and EHS-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Workforce Management

Lead end-to-end plant HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, attendance, payroll inputs, shift rosters, employee records, and exit processes.

Plan and maintain manpower requirements across production, quality, maintenance, warehouse, EHS, and support functions.

Partner with production leaders to ensure adequate staffing for shifts, peak demand, new-line ramp-up, and contingency requirements.

Develop and implement employee engagement, communication, recognition, training, and retention initiatives.

Drive performance-management processes for plant employees, including goal setting, reviews, corrective action, and capability development.

Maintain accurate HR MIS covering headcount, absenteeism, attrition, overtime, productivity, training, and workforce costs.

Manage contract labour lifecycle, including vendor coordination, compliance documentation, deployment, attendance verification, and performance monitoring.

Industrial Relations & Statutory Compliance

Maintain positive employee and worker relations and address grievances in a fair, timely, and transparent manner.

Support disciplinary processes, investigations, domestic inquiries, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.

Ensure plant compliance with labour laws, including the Factories Act, Contract Labour regulations, Shops and Establishments requirements where applicable, PF, ESI, gratuity, minimum wages, bonus, and wage-and-hour provisions.

Coordinate labour-law inspections, audits, statutory filings, registers, licences, and required documentation.

Build strong relationships with local authorities, labour officials, contractors, and relevant external stakeholders.

Plant Operations & Administration

Coordinate with Plant Head and functional leaders to support safe, efficient, uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Monitor operational support activities including transport, canteen, housekeeping, security, facility upkeep, and employee welfare services.

Ensure shift discipline, attendance adherence, overtime controls, and workforce availability align with production plans.

Support implementation of SOPs, 5S, lean practices, visual management, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
