Accounts Manager

Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY

The Accounts Head will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and finance activities, with primary responsibility for bank control, cash inflow and outflow, receivables and payables, audit coordination, IT/GST-related matters, and bank proposal finalization.

KRA: TASK / ACTIVITIES

• Take ownership of accounts and finance operations.
• Maintain and exercise control over bank accounts and banking transactions.
• Prepare and monitor cash inflow and cash outflow.
• Monitor accounts receivables and accounts payables.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and proper management of payables.
• Assist auditors for Income Tax (IT) and GST-related requirements and audits.
• Coordinate and provide the required documents and financial information to auditors.
• Assist in bank proposal preparation and finalization.
• Coordinate with banks regarding bank proposals and related financial documentation.
• Maintain proper accounting records and financial documentation.
• Monitor the overall financial position and provide necessary updates to management.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders for accounts and finance-related matters.

KPI: PERFORMANCE METRICS

• Accuracy and timely completion of accounts and finance activities.
• Effective control and monitoring of bank transactions and cash flow.
• Timely monitoring and collection of receivables.
• Timely and accurate management of payables.
• Timely completion of IT and GST audit requirements and submission of required documents.
• Timely preparation and finalization of bank proposals.
• Accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial documentation.
• Timely reporting of financial position, cash flow, receivables, and payables to management.
• Effective coordination with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Hands-on experience in banking transactions and bank account management.
• Strong knowledge of cash inflow and cash outflow management.
• Practical experience in managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Good knowledge of Income Tax and GST-related activities.
• Experience in audit coordination and assisting auditors.
• Ability to prepare and coordinate bank proposals and financial documentation.
• Strong knowledge of financial records, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Ability to independently handle Accounts & Finance operations.
• Good analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in finalization of accounts.
• Experience in handling bank proposals, loan documentation, and bank coordination.
• Practical exposure to GST and Income Tax audits/compliance.
• Experience in preparing cash-flow statements and financial reports.
• Strong MIS and management reporting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with auditors, banks, vendors, and management.
• Experience in independently managing the complete accounts function.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally/ERP systems would be an added advantage.
