Job Description:
A Senior Maintenance Electrician leads the installation, advanced troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems, machinery, and power distribution networks. The role involves supervising junior team members, ensuring strict adherence to safety codes, and executing preventive maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex faults in high and low-voltage circuits, control panels, motors, and automated machinery using advanced diagnostic meters.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute routine inspections and servicing schedules for electrical infrastructure to prevent equipment failures.
- Leadership & Training: Supervise, guide, and mentor junior technicians and apprentices on safe work practices and technical procedures.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce safety protocols, such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper PPE usage, ensuring total alignment with local electrical and building codes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service logs, inventory records for spare parts, and incident reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of hands-on industrial or commercial electrical maintenance experience.
- Education: High school diploma plus an ITI certificate, vocational training, or a diploma in Electrical Engineering / Journeyman license.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, VFDs, PLC systems, and testing tools (multimeters, megohmmeter).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving under pressure, leadership qualities, and clear communication.
