Job Description:


As a System Administrator, you will deliver first- and second-line support, manage Windows endpoints and
servers, and administer identity and collaboration platforms (Active Directory/Entra ID and Microsoft 365).
You will configure Intune and Autopilot, operate Azure and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper‐V), and
maintain core services such as DNS/DHCP, VPN, and backups. You will package and deploy engineering
applications, manage licenses, apply security baselines, and monitor systems for availability and
performance. You will work closely with Engineering Quality and Process Development, central IT, and
global stakeholders to test changes, pilot releases, and drive continuous improvement.
Where you will work
In Vadodara, India, VMI operates a facility that supports the engineering departments at our headquarters
in the Netherlands. The department includes many engineers organized into specialist teams. Order
Engineering focuses on tailoring our standard machines to customer needs—from layout adjustments to
entirely new modules. Quality and continuous improvement in technology and process are part of our DNA.
You’ll join an open, informal environment where colleagues help and learn from each other, collaborating
closely with EQPD and central IT.
What You Bring
You work independently and proactively, while being a strong team player. You identify and discuss
improvements, are accurate and results‐oriented, and communicate clearly with non‐technical users. You
enjoy supporting colleagues and tailoring IT services to engineering needs. Furthermore, you have:
• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator supporting Windows-based environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, and Intune/Autopilot.
• Solid Windows/Active Directory administration (GPOs, OU design, domain joins).
• Experience with Cloud & Virtualization (Azure services, VMware/Hyper‐V) and backups.
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs) and basic firewall troubleshooting.
• PowerShell (and/or Batch) for automation and support.
• Strong analytical problem‐solving and effective communication for non‐technical users.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
• Willingness to be available for (foreign) travel and performing on‐call duties.
