Job Description:
An Assistant Sales Engineer supports the sales team by providing technical expertise, explaining complex product features, and helping design customized solutions for clients. This junior role bridges the gap between customer needs and technical product capabilities to help close business deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Assist senior engineers and sales reps by answering client questions and running product demonstrations.
- Client Consultation: Meet with customers to analyze their requirements and suggest the right equipment or services.
- Proposal Preparation: Help draft technical sections of bids, cost estimates, and sales proposals.
- Internal Coordination: Work with the engineering and shipping teams to ensure orders meet client specifications and delivery goals.
- Market Research: Track competitor offerings and learn new product updates.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
- Skills: Good speaking and listening skills, basic problem-solving abilities, and comfort talking to new people.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in an industrial or technical sales environment (internships count).
- Travel: Willingness to visit local clients or job sites as needed.
