US Accounting Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced US Accounting Manager to manage end-to-end US accounting operations, oversee accounting teams, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support US clients with their accounting and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage end-to-end US accounting and bookkeeping operations.
* Oversee General Ledger, AP, AR, bank reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing.
* Review and prepare P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
* Ensure accurate accounting according to US GAAP.
* Manage and review accounts payable, receivable, accruals, prepayments and journal entries.
* Handle payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
* Support US tax compliance, including sales tax and 1099-related requirements.
* Review work performed by accountants and ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
* Manage client communication and resolve accounting-related queries.
* Prepare financial reports, MIS and management reports.
* Identify process improvements and implement accounting controls.
* Lead, mentor and manage the accounting team.
* Coordinate with US clients, CPAs, auditors and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills:

* Strong experience in US Accounting & Bookkeeping.
* Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
* Experience with QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online is preferred.
* Knowledge of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations and financial reporting.
* Exposure to US tax, payroll and compliance.
* Strong client-management and communication skills.
* Prior experience managing a team is required.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

* CA / CPA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com or equivalent.
* 7+ years of relevant US accounting experience.
* Experience working with US clients / CPA firms / accounting outsourcing firms preferred.
