Job Overview

Orbit Global HR Consultants, a leading chemical industry hiring agency and recruitment consultancy, is looking for an experienced Shift Incharge / Production Supervisor for a manufacturing organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing shift production, manpower, production targets, quality, safety and shop-floor operations. Candidates with experience in aerosol manufacturing, chemicals, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, paints and coatings filling will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete production operations during the assigned shift.
• Achieve daily and shift-wise production targets as per the production plan.
• Supervise production operators, technicians and shop-floor manpower.
• Allocate manpower and monitor workforce productivity.
• Monitor production processes, machinery and output to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, GMP, SOP and EHS standards.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores and other departments.
• Monitor raw materials and packaging materials required for production.
• Identify production bottlenecks, process deviations and operational issues.
• Coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime, rejection and production losses.
• Maintain shift production reports, MIS, checklists and operational records.
• Ensure proper 5S, housekeeping and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Follow safe handling procedures for chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Conduct proper shift handover and communicate pending activities/issues to the next shift.
• Support continuous improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.

Educational Qualification

Candidates with any of the following qualifications are preferred:

• B.E. / B.Tech – Chemical Engineering
• B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
• B.E. / B.Tech – Production / Industrial Engineering
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Chemistry / Applied Chemistry

Preferred Certifications

Additional certifications will be an advantage:

• Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing – Green Belt or Black Belt
• Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods Management
• ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Auditor Certification
• OHSAS 18001

Industry Experience

Candidates should have hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. Preference will be given to professionals from:
