Job Description:

We are looking for an innovative and analytical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be the bridge between concept and reality—conceptualizing, designing, and developing new products, as well as optimizing our existing product line. You will utilize engineering principles, CAD software, and prototyping techniques to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable solutions that meet our customers' needs and manufacturing capabilities. Key Responsibilities Product Conceptualization: Brainstorm, develop, and refine new product concepts based on market research, customer feedback, and design briefs. Engineering & Design: Perform mechanical, structural, or thermal calculations to ensure designs meet functional requirements, stress tolerances, and safety standards. 3D Modeling & Prototyping: Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings. Build and test physical prototypes to validate design assumptions. Design for Excellence (DFX): Incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and cost optimization principles early in the design cycle. Testing & Validation: Define, coordinate, and execute product testing protocols (e.g., stress, durability, environmental tests) and analyze the resulting data. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, and marketing teams to smoothly transition designs from the drawing board to full-scale production. Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), engineering specifications, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: CAD Mastery: High proficiency in 3D parametric modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA). Engineering Fundamentals: Strong grasp of core engineering principles, including mechanics, materials science, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication). GD&T & Tolerance Analysis: Proficiency in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 or ISO standards. Simulation/FEA: Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation) to validate structural integrity is highly preferred.
