Job Description:

Job Purpose
The Group Liaison Head will lead all liaison and government relations activities for the company's real
estate projects, ensuring smooth coordination with statutory bodies, local authorities, and law
enforcement, while managing sensitive matters such as trespasser rehabilitation and community
relations to enable uninterrupted project development.

 

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all liaison activities of the company across its real estate projects.
• Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the functioning of various government bodies,
including BLRO, KMC, KMDA, and other relevant statutory authorities.
• Handle rehabilitation and negotiation with trespassers and tenants occupying project sites, ensuring amicable
and timely resolution.
• Engage and coordinate with local councillors, MLA’s, and MICs (Members-in-Charge) to secure cooperation
and support for project development.
• Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with the Police Department across all areas where the company has
project interests.
• Liaise with senior officials at Lalbazar (Kolkata Police Headquarters) as required to safeguard company
interests.
• Represent the company before government departments, local bodies, and civic authorities on matters relating
to approvals, clearances, and project facilitation.
• Anticipate and proactively manage on-ground issues (encroachments, local disputes, law-and-order concerns)
that may affect project timelines.
• Build and mentor a liaison team to support day-to-day coordination across multiple project sites.
• Keep senior management regularly updated on liaison matters, risks, and resolutions.

• Proven track record of successfully negotiating and resolving trespasser/tenant rehabilitation matters.
• Demonstrated ability to get project-related work expedited through local government and civic bodies.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and crisis-management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across project sites and government offices.
• Fluency in Bengali, Hindi, and English preferred.
• Own a vehicle for travel
