ROLE OBJECTIVE:
• Provide cost-effective MEP and HVAC designs across different project types.
• Ensure quality work is delivered on site in line with required workmanship and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with the design and project teams to deliver MEP and HVAC scopes within timelines.
DESIGN:
• Design Electrical, ELV, HVAC and Networking systems for Design & Build and consultancy projects.
• Prepare Design Basis Reports (DBR) covering all MEP and HVAC disciplines.
• Prepare BOQs for all MEP and HVAC systems for Design & Build projects.
• Prepare and review construction drawings.
• Coordinate with designers, consultants and project teams.
ESTIMATION & PURCHASE:
• Check vendor tenders and ensure quoted rates are appropriate.
• Provide inputs to the estimation and project teams for cost optimisation.
• Attend negotiation meetings with vendors.
• Evaluate and onboard new vendors for Electrical, ELV, HVAC and Networking works.
• Prepare and maintain DSIPL rate lists for estimation and purchase activities.
PROJECTS:
• Coordinate with designers, consultants, project teams and clients to obtain sign-off on shop drawings.
• Obtain TDS from vendors and review/approve the same.
• Check vendor shop drawings and TDS based on site requirements, BOQ and design.
• Prepare and review MEP & HVAC vendor schedules.
• Check material quantities against BOQ and approved designs.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure site execution is as per drawings, specifications, checklists and best practices.
• Ensure good workmanship at site.
• Resolve site-related MEP issues.
• Review and approve additional costs raised by contractors during the project.
• Identify and communicate additional items/costs required due to client requirements.
• Highlight errors on site that require rectification and prepare detailed site reports.
• Share site reports with the site team and vendors and follow up to ensure timely rectification.
• Visit project sites once a week.
• Prepare and submit a report after every site meeting.
BILLING:
• Check contractor bills and measurements against actual site measurements and BOQ specifications in coordination with the billing team.
• Check client bills.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and communicate them to the billing and project teams.
PROJECT HANDOVER:
• Conduct a final audit of contractors' work after completion.
• Prepare a detailed snag list.
• Share the snag list with the project and billing teams.
• Follow up on pending snags and ensure completion before project handover.
