Job Description:
Position: Head - Maintenance & Safety
Location: Silvassa
Experience: 8 - 10 Years
Industries: Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities for all plant equipment.
- Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum unplanned downtime.
- Establish equipment-wise maintenance standards, checklists and schedules.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Drive RCA, MTBF and MTTR improvement.
- Maintain critical spares and ensure optimum inventory levels.
- Develop equipment history and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with OEMs and external service providers for specialized maintenance.
- Monitor HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, MCC/PCC panels, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA and control systems.
- Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy reduction.
- Drive a strong Zero Harm / Zero Accident culture across the plant.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Factory, Labor, Electrical, Fire, Water and EHS regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Implement and monitor -Permit to Work, LOTO, Working at Height, Hot Work and Confined Space procedures.
- Ensure machine guarding, electrical safety, fire safety and emergency preparedness.
- Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and ensure effective CAPA.
- Conduct safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programs.
- Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
- Coordinate emergency drills, fire drills and other statutory safety exercises.
- Lead CAPEX and improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities for automation, energy saving and process improvement.
