Job Description:

Position:      Head - Maintenance & Safety

Location:      Silvassa 

Experience:  8 - 10 Years

Industries:    Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities for all plant equipment.
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum unplanned downtime.
  • Establish equipment-wise maintenance standards, checklists and schedules.
  • Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Drive RCA, MTBF and MTTR improvement.
  • Maintain critical spares and ensure optimum inventory levels.
  • Develop equipment history and maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and external service providers for specialized maintenance.
  • Monitor HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, MCC/PCC panels, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA and control systems.
  • Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy reduction.
  • Drive a strong Zero Harm / Zero Accident culture across the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Factory, Labor, Electrical, Fire, Water and EHS regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Implement and monitor -Permit to Work, LOTO, Working at Height, Hot Work and Confined Space procedures.
  • Ensure machine guarding, electrical safety, fire safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and ensure effective CAPA.
  • Conduct safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programs.
  • Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Coordinate emergency drills, fire drills and other statutory safety exercises.
  • Lead CAPEX and improvement projects.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, energy saving and process improvement.
