Head – Technical Services
Job Description:
The Head – Technical Services will be responsible for leading the Quality, Tool Service, and Plant Maintenance departments, ensuring seamless coordination between these functions to achieve optimal product quality, tool performance, and press reliability. This role will focus on enhancing the efficiency of manufacturing processes, improving product quality, reducing downtime, and ensuring high precision in production. The ideal candidate will have a strong tool room/tool service background in the laminations industry, coupled with an understanding of quality parameters and press health management.
Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in tool servicing, tool manufacturing, and high-speed punching tools
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical quality parameters in laminations.
- Knowledge of press maintenance, hydraulic & mechanical press operation
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO, IATF) and CAPA implementation
- Hands-on experience in defect analysis, failure investigations, and process optimizations.
Daily Management Activities:
- Conduct daily morning meetings with Quality, Tool Service, and Maintenance teams to review production challenges and priorities.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, rejection rates, and tool life.
- Oversee daily tool inspection and servicing schedules to ensure readiness for production.
- Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance plans for presses and tooling.
- Review and address quality issues, defect reports, and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and minimize disruptions.
- Track and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions taken for defects and failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all technical functions.
- Identify and resolve any urgent equipment breakdowns affecting production.
- Provide real-time guidance and support to teams to maintain operational efficiency.
