Job Description:
A logistics dispatcher coordinates daily driver routes, tracks shipments in real time, and manages communication between drivers, warehouses, and clients to ensure timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Route Planning: Assign loads and design efficient delivery routes based on vehicle capacity, traffic, and schedules.
- Real-Time Tracking: Monitor vehicle GPS locations and adjust estimated times of arrival (ETAs) when delays happen.
- Communication Hub: Maintain contact with drivers and customers to solve transit problems and report status updates.
- Documentation: Update transportation management software (TMS) with delivery notes, logs, and incident reports.
Required Skills
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks at once.
- Communication: Clear speaking and listening skills for handling drivers and client requests.
