Reporting To: CEO / MD
Job Purpose
To manage the complete HR & Administration function of the manufacturing plant, including manpower planning, recruitment, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee relations, performance management, training, HR policies and administration.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations
-
Manage day-to-day HR operations and complete employee lifecycle activities.

Handle joining, induction, confirmation, transfer, promotion and separation processes.

Maintain employee personal files, HR records and HR databases.
-
Monitor attendance, leave, overtime and shift-related matters.
-
Ensure proper implementation of HR policies, procedures and systems.
2. Manpower Planning & Recruitment
-
Coordinate with department heads to identify manpower requirements.
-
Manage recruitment, interviews, selection and onboarding.
-
Coordinate with manpower contractors/vendors for contract labour requirements.
-
Monitor manpower deployment and productivity.
-
Maintain recruitment and manpower reports.
3. Payroll & Compensation
-
Coordinate monthly payroll processing and salary verification.
-
Verify attendance, overtime, incentives, bonuses and other payroll inputs.
-
Coordinate with Finance for timely salary processing.
-
Resolve employee salary-related queries and maintain payroll records.
4. Statutory Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
-
Handle/coordinate PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages and Contract Labour compliance.

Maintain statutory registers, records and returns.

Coordinate labour inspections, audits and statutory authorities.

Keep management updated on changes in labour legislation.
5. Employee & Industrial Relations
-
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace issues.

Maintain healthy employee-management relations.
-
Coordinate with workers, supervisors and department heads on HR issues.
-
Support disciplinary proceedings and issue notices/letters as per company policy.
-
Handle union/worker-related matters wherever applicable.
6. Performance Management
-
Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes.
-
Support departments in defining performance objectives and KPIs.
-
Monitor employee performance and development requirements.
-
Identify training and competency development needs.
7. Training & Development
-
Prepare annual training plans.
-
Organize induction, safety, technical, behavioural and statutory training.
-
Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.
-
Promote employee skill development and career growth.
8. HR Policies & Systems
-
Develop, review and implement HR policies, SOPs and procedures.
-
Ensure effective communication and implementation of company policies.
-
Continuously improve HR processes and systems.
-
Support management in organizational development initiatives.
9. Plant Administration
-
Manage general administration activities of the plant.
-
Supervise housekeeping, security, transport, canteen, uniforms/PPE and employee welfare facilities.
-
Coordinate employee transportation and facility management.
-
Maintain administrative records and vendor documentation.
10. Safety & Employee Welfare
-
Coordinate with the Safety Department for employee safety programs.
-
Support workplace safety and employee welfare initiatives.
-
Ensure required welfare facilities are maintained.
-
Organize employee engagement and welfare activities.
Qualification
-
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
-
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred.
-
Good knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, payroll, recruitment and employee relations.
Experience
-
5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing/factory environment.
-
Experience handling contract labour and statutory compliance will be an advantage.
Required Skills
