Sub Functions : Maintenance
Job Requirements:
To maintain Electrical Equipment SLA, we would require having specific resource who can dedicatedly/ exclusively work to Run/ Operate/ Maintain Electrical System and Sub systems and report. To fulfill these requirements, Functional Manager (Electrical In-
Charge) candidates is required at site location, who can monitor and keep system functional as per NHAI SLA The Assistant Manager (Electrical) is responsible for planning, execution, supervision, and maintenance of all electrical systems associated with highway projects, including
lighting, toll plaza infrastructure, traffic systems, power supply, and electrical safety compliance, UP and running conditions 24X7X365 days monthly average to be maintained 99%.
Key Responsibilities
A. Project Executions: Supervise installation and commissioning and Maintenance of (including COS works):
a. Highway lighting systems (LED, solar, high mast)
b. Street lighting poles and cabling
c. Electrical systems at toll plazas, admin buildings, and control rooms
d. Ensure work is executed as per drawings, BOQ, specifications, and contract requirements
e. Monitor subcontractors/vendors for electrical works
B. Design & Planning
a. Review electrical design drawings (SLD, layouts, cable sizing, load calculations)
b. Coordinate with design consultants for modifications and approvals
c. Assist in preparation of electrical estimates and project schedules

d. Ensure compliance with IRC, MoRTH, IS codes, and electrical standards

C. Testing & Commissioning: Conduct and supervise
a. Cable insulation tests
b. Earthing resistance tests
c. Panel testing and commissioning
D. Ensure proper functioning of:
a. DG sets, transformers, UPS systems, Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB)
b. Solar systems

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
• Monitor performance of electrical systems post-commissioning
• Troubleshoot faults and ensure minimum downtime
• Manage energy efficiency initiatives
• Energy Saving
• Quality & Safety Compliance
• Ensure adherence to: Electrical safety standards and Rules
• Project Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
• Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks
• Ensure proper earthing, lightning protection, and safety gear usage
• Procurement & Cost Control
• Assist in technical evaluation of electrical materials/vendors
• Monitor material consumption and wastage
• Ensure timely availability of materials at site
• Support billing and certification of electrical works
• Reporting / MIS Requirement:

a. Create / Observe / implement Daily Monitoring Plan of Electrical System/ Sub Systems
b. Create / Observe / Implement MIS report for Daily/ Weekly/ Yearly formats
c. Create / Observe / Implement Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/ Yearly
Preventive Maintenance schedule for Electrical Systems/ Sub Systems
d. Create / Observe / Implement Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/ Yearly
Corrective Maintenance schedule for Electrical Systems/ Sub Systems
e. Create / Observe / Monitor yearly consumptions Budget for Electrical Systems/ Sub Systems
f. Create / Observe / Implement Daily Progress report if any Repair/ Maintenance/ New Change of Scope (COS) works implementation activity
g. Ownership of New COS works implementation activity End to End (From Inceptions till Handing Over to Client)
h. Envisage spares/ assets consumption lists for smooth running of Electrical Systems/ Sub Systems as per NHAI SLA
i. IE/ NHAI official coordination with respect to Electrical Systems/ Sub Systems
j. Electrical Systems/ Sub Systems Monthly MIS to verify/ correct and share with Project Head for further submission to NHAI
k. SPOC for Electrical Systems/ Sub Systems for IE/NHAI/Project team

• Minimum 5-6 Implemented / maintained project should be minimum 100 km long with all of Electrical System/ Sub Systems.
• Minimum having 1-2 Electrical Engineer and 3-6 Electrician technician directly reports.

• Coordination with multiple stakeholders in dynamic conditions


Experience : 5 to 8 year experience

Education:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology from
Electrical Engineering.
• Or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with an over all experience of 10 –
12 years.
