Job Summary

We are looking for technically skilled OSS Engineers / Electromechanical Engineers / Maintenance Engineers to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and commissioning of warehouse and industrial automation systems.

The selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining automated material-handling systems, minimizing equipment downtime, improving equipment reliability and ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of customer warehouse automation facilities.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in warehouse automation maintenance, conveyor systems, sorters, ASRS, PTL, weighing systems, chutes, PLCs, sensors, electrical panels and electromechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of warehouse and industrial automation equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sorters, conveyors, weighing machines, PTL systems, ASRS, chutes and other material-handling automation systems.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, lubrication, calibration and functional checks.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic and electromechanical equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, control panels, electrical circuits and automation components.
• Execute repair and replacement of defective mechanical, electrical and electronic components.
• Identify the root cause of equipment breakdowns and implement effective corrective actions.
• Minimize equipment downtime and ensure maximum availability of automated systems.
• Support installation, commissioning and integration of new automation equipment and system upgrades.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and technical teams for spare parts, repairs and equipment support.
• Maintain regional spare inventory and ensure availability of critical maintenance components.
• Perform inspection and treatment of faulty components and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, inspections and work orders.
• Document equipment modifications, upgrades and repair history.
• Prepare maintenance reports and track equipment reliability, downtime and maintenance performance.
• Conduct equipment safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE and industrial safety procedures during maintenance activities.
• Support customer warehouse teams and provide guidance on proper operation and basic maintenance of automation equipment.
• Participate in technical training and process improvement initiatives.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely technical support whenever required.
• Work in rotational shifts depending on customer and warehouse operational requirements.

Automation Equipment Exposure

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of PLC, sensors, control systems, motors, drives and automation equipment.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to identify equipment faults and perform corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Understanding of equipment reliability and RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) principles is an advantage.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently at customer warehouse sites.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and attend emergency breakdown calls when required.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering
• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Other relevant engineering qualifications may be considered based on experience.

2–5 years of relevant experience in:
