AGM / DGM – Paint Shop Production
Position Overview
- Role: AGM / DGM – Paint Shop Production
- Industry: Automotive Components Manufacturing
- Location: Waluj MIDC Chh Sambhaji Nagar
- Budget: Up to 30 LPA (Commensurate with experience)
- Experience: 15 to 25 years in automotive paint shop operations
Core Responsibilities
- Production Management: Oversee daily paint shop operations to meet volume targets for plastic or sheet metal automotive components.
- Process & Quality Control: Maintain strict adherence to OEM quality standards, minimizing rejection rates (DFT, orange peel, dust contamination) and managing the paint mixing process.
- Technology & Automation: Manage automated and robotic painting lines (ABB, Fanuc, or Durr systems), including program optimization.
- Cost & Consumables: Optimize paint consumption, control chemical usage (PT/CED lines), and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance of ovens, conveyors, and spray booths.
- Team Leadership: Lead a large team of engineers, supervisors, and operators, ensuring a high-performance culture and strong safety/environmental compliance (EMS/OHSAS).
Key Requirements
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Cathodic Electrodeposition (CED), liquid/powder coating, and robotic application.
- Problem Solving: Proficient in using Six Sigma methodologies, 8D analysis, and 5S/Kaizen tools for root-cause analysis.
- Industry Background: Must come from a Tier-1 automotive component manufacturer or an automotive OEM paint shop.
