Position: Production Engineer
Location: Malawi, Africa
Industry: Plastic Injection & Blow Moulding / Food Containers

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to manage and optimize Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding production for plastic food containers and packaging products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily production and achieve production targets.

• Handle Injection & Blow Moulding machine setup, mould changeovers, and parameter setting.

• Troubleshoot machine, mould, material, and process-related issues.

• Optimize cycle time, productivity, material usage, and rejection.

• Ensure product quality and food-grade manufacturing standards.

• Supervise operators and production technicians.

• Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams.

• Monitor production, downtime, rejection, and wastage.

• Implement 5S, safety, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, Plastics Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in plastic manufacturing.

• Hands-on experience in Injection Moulding and/or Blow Moulding.

• Experience with plastic containers, bottles, food packaging, or similar products preferred.

• Good knowledge of PP, HDPE, PET, LDPE and other plastic materials.

• Strong troubleshooting and manpower management skills.

Preferred: Candidates with experience in high-volume plastic food-container manufacturing and overseas/African manufacturing environments.
