Job Purpose

To independently manage and supervise mechanical erection, installation, commissioning, maintenance and service activities at project sites, ensuring timely execution, quality, safety and adherence to approved drawings and project specifications.

Required Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical erection, commissioning, site execution or industrial projects.
• Experience in cooling towers, industrial equipment, piping, pumps or mechanical projects will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, alignment, piping and equipment erection.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the dismantling, erection, and installation of Pultruded FRP, Wooden and RCC Cooling Towers along with all associated equipment at customer sites. Ensure timely execution of site activities while coordinating travel arrangements, accommodation, and ticket bookings for site personnel whenever required to support seamless project execution.
• Manage site execution activities by ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and contractual commitments.
• Coordinate with our HO, Branches, Factory Project, Design, Production and Logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials, drawings and manpower at site.
• Supervise service engineers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of erection and maintenance activities.
• Conduct site inspections, progress reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and company standards.
• Ensure strict implementation of safety regulations, PPE usage and statutory compliance at all project sites.
• Attend customer meetings, resolve technical and site-related issues and maintain strong customer relationships throughout project execution.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports, installation reports, service reports and project documentation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues in cooling towers, including mechanical, structural, piping and performance-related problems and provide effective solutions.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, repairs, retrofitting, and annual service contracts (AMC) for installed cooling towers.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely availability of site materials, spare parts, tools, and consumables to avoid project delays.
• Verify contractor bills, monitor project costs, control site expenses, and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
• Coordinate and support the testing, performance trials, commissioning, and successful handover of cooling towers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and customer requirements.
• Obtain job progress reports, job completion certificates, and customer acceptance documents in a timely manner to facilitate project closure.
• Ensure timely closure of punch points, warranty issues, and customer complaints while maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction.
• Train and mentor site engineers and technicians, promote continuous process improvement, and ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and ISO procedures.
• Ensure timely raising of invoices in accordance with project milestones and coordinate closely with clients to facilitate prompt payment collection. Obtain necessary techno-commercial approvals, clearances from clients.
• Conduct site inspections of all types of cooling towers, including Pultruded FRP, Wooden, and RCC Cooling Towers. Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) with technical specifications and submit them to the Head Office and respective branch offices.
