About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Vice President (Finance) to lead the
Finance & Accounts function of a growing manufacturing organisation. The Vice President will
serve as a strategic partner to the CFO, Managing Director, and leadership team, driving
financial performance, business planning, capital allocation, cost optimisation, governance, and
sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate should possess strong manufacturing finance experience and have worked in
a leadership role of a significant finance function for at least the last five years.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
● Partner with the CFO, MD, and senior leadership team in formulating and executing
business strategy.
● Provide financial insights and commercial recommendations to support growth,
expansion, capital investment, and operational decisions.
● Develop long-term financial strategy, capital allocation plans, and business plans aligned
with organisational objectives.
● Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures,
fundraising, and corporate restructuring where required.
Budgeting, Planning & Financial Analysis
● Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range business planning processes.
● Develop robust financial models, scenario analyses, sensitivity analyses, and periodic
stress tests to support strategic decision-making.
● Monitor business performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
Cost Management & Profitability Enhancement

● Strengthen cost accounting practices and ensure accurate product costing.
● Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, sourcing efficiencies, interest rate arbitrage,
and foreign exchange optimisation where appropriate.
● Analyse margins, profitability, and business performance to improve operational
efficiency and EBITDA.
Manufacturing Finance
● Partner closely with plant leadership through regular plant visits to improve operational
and financial coordination.
● Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, bill of material (BOM) structures, and
plant-level profitability.
● Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, investment opportunities, and post-investment
performance.
Financial Control, Governance & Global Finance
● Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, MIS, management
dashboards, and Board reporting across domestic and overseas operations.
● Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, tax, corporate, and transfer pricing
requirements across domestic and international operations.
● Coordinate internal and external audits, drive timely closure of audit observations, and
continuously strengthen governance processes.
● Oversee the financial performance and governance of overseas subsidiaries, including
inter-company transactions, and statutory compliance.
● Support overseas expansion, cross-border investments, legal entity restructuring, and
foreign exchange risk management, including appropriate hedging strategies.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
● Oversee cash flow planning, treasury operations, banking relationships, and liquidity
management.
● Optimise working capital through effective management of inventory, receivables, and
payables.
● Optimise capital structure, financing costs, and debt portfolio.
● Manage lender relationships, credit facilities, banking covenants, and funding
requirements.
Direct & Indirect Tax Management
● Ensure timely and compliant management of Income Tax, GST, Customs Duty, Transfer
Pricing, and other applicable tax matters.

● Optimise advance tax, input tax credits (ITC), export incentives including RoDTEP and
Duty Drawback, and other eligible tax benefits.
● Coordinate tax assessments, litigation, and advisory matters with internal and external
stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Management
● Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
● Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and continuous
improvement.
● Develop succession plans and strengthen organisational capability within the finance
function.

Candidate Profile
● Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
● Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably within
manufacturing organisations.
● Must have led a significant finance function as CFO, Deputy CFO, Director, Head
Finance, Financial Controller, or an equivalent leadership role for at least the last five
years.
● Strong ERP implementation and optimisation experience, preferably in SAP, Oracle,
Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent ERP platforms.
