1) Active participation in Design Review and Feasibility preparation
2) New tool Assembly : Manufacture, assemble, and fit precision fine blanking dies, including specific components like triple-action punches, die plates, guide systems, counter-punches & ensure Tool First Time right.
3) Interpret Drawing Specifications: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to precisely execute tool layouts
4) Set up and operate conventional and CNC toolroom equipment (e.g., surface grinders, lathes, milling machines) to shape tool steel with extreme accuracy
5) Tool Maintenance & Repair: Routine stripping, cleaning, sharpening, and refurbishing of worn punches and die segments to extend tool life and ensure smooth cut edges.
6) Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute PM schedules to track tool wear patterns and minimize unplanned production downtime
7) Press-Side Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues, tool failures, or part defects (like surface cracking or dimensional drift) directly on triple-action fine blanking presses.
8) Root Cause Analysis: Analyze component defects to adjust clearance gaps, V-ring penetration, or ejection mechanisms, collaborating with design engineers to optimize die performance.
9) Maintain Records: Log all tool modifications, sharpening intervals, part counts, and repairs in a tooling History Card.
10) Critical Tool spares availability.
11) Part dispatch follow up

Authorities:
1) Authorise for new tool and Gauge concept approval.
2) Authorise to decide the material for tools, process.
3) Authorise to decide manufacturing time plan.

Skills Required to perform duty effectively:
1) Leadership Skill
2) Communication Skill
3) Deep understanding of the triple-action forces (cutting force, V-ring force, counter-force) unique to fine blanking.
4) Methodical thinking to trace a defect on a stamped part (such as a poor die-roll, fractured edge, or uneven burnish zone).
