specializes in CNC machining, deep hole drilling, gun drilling, horizontal boring, laser
cladding, HVOF coating, and other advanced manufacturing processes while
maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The CAD/CAM Programmer will be responsible for creating optimized CNC
machining programs for complex precision components used in Oil & Gas
applications. The role includes developing machining strategies, preparing
manufacturing drawings, generating tool paths, selecting cutting tools, and
supporting production teams to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing withminimal cycle time.
Key Responsibilities
CAD/CAM Programming
Develop CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
Generate machining tool paths using CAD/CAM software.
Create manufacturing drawings and machining process documentation.
Optimize machining strategies to improve productivity and reduce cycle times.
Verify machining programs through simulation before production.
Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions.
Engineering Support
Interpret customer drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
Prepare machining methods for new and existing components.
Support reverse engineering activities whenever required.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Planning teams.
Resolve machining and programming issues during production.
Assist in tooling selection and fixture design.
Process Improvement
Reduce machining cycle time.
Improve tool life and machining efficiency.
Standardize machining programs and documentation.
Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Participate in root cause analysis for machining-related issues.
Documentation
Maintain revision-controlled CNC programs.
Update machining documentation and engineering records.
Ensure program backups are maintained.
Maintain engineering databases and drawing records.
Qualification
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering,
Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
CAD/CAM certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
5–10 years of experience in CNC Programming 5–10 years of experience in CNC Programming and CAD/CAM.
Experience in precision machining for Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Heavy
Engineering, or Energy industries.
Experience in remanufacturing of critical components is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience in multi-axis CNC machining.
