Job Description – Sr. Executive – Mechanical Maintenance

Job Objective

Responsible for ensuring smooth and reliable operation of mechanical equipment in the casting/foundry plant through preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle mechanical maintenance of foundry/casting equipment and utility systems.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot and attend breakdowns of conveyors, pumps, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, compressors, gearboxes, furnaces and material-handling equipment.
  • Identify recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with production teams for planned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain maintenance records, checklists, spare-parts requirements and breakdown reports.
  • Monitor equipment health and improve machine availability and reliability.
  • Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, inspection and condition monitoring of equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors/contractors for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Follow 5S, TPM, safety procedures and preventive maintenance standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Desired Skills

  • Strong knowledge of foundry/casting plant mechanical maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in breakdown and preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and material-handling systems.
  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts and handle breakdown situations.
  • Knowledge of TPM, 5S, Kaizen and maintenance documentation.

Preferred Industry

Candidates from Foundry, Casting, Auto Component, Forging or Automotive Manufacturing industries will be preferred.
