Quality Inward Engineer

Job Description:

To ensure proper incoming inspection and quality verification of raw materials, components and purchased items as per approved specifications, drawings and quality standards before releasing materials for production.

 1.  Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, components and purchased materials as per defined
• Verify material quantity, dimensions, specifications and quality
• Check incoming material against Purchase Order, drawing, specification and inspection standards.
• Perform visual, dimensional and basic quality checks using appropriate measuring
• Prepare and maintain Incoming Inspection Reports / records.
• Identify and report defective, damaged or non-conforming
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores and Suppliers regarding rejected or non-conforming
• Ensure proper identification and segregation of accepted, rejected and hold materials.
• Support supplier quality issues and follow up for replacement/rework/corrective
• Maintain inspection records, rejection reports and quality
• Ensure proper traceability of inspected
• Coordinate with Stores for material release after inspection
• Support Quality Manager/Team in maintaining incoming quality standards and
• Follow applicable quality procedures, work instructions and safety requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and discipline at the incoming inspection

2.  Qualification

• E./B.Tech – Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Diploma – Electrical Engineering may also be

 3.  Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Quality / Incoming Quality /
• Experience in Electrical / Engineering / Manufacturing industry

 4.  Required Skills

• Knowledge of Incoming Quality Inspection
• Basic knowledge of electrical/engineering components
• Understanding of drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of measuring instruments
• Basic knowledge of Quality Documentation
• MS Excel / MS Office
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
