Role and Responsibilities

Electrical Design Engineers are responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and refining electrical systems across industries such as aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, energy, and industrial machinery Key responsibilities include:

• Creating design specifications for electrical and electromechanical components, including magnetic field analysis and modeling of electromagnetic systems 
• Translating customer requirements into cost-effective, manufacturable designs.
• Developing prototypes, test plans, and reports to ensure products meet specifications.
• Using CAD and simulation software to model, test, and optimize designs 
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory codes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients, to integrate electrical solutions seamlessly 
• Supporting existing designs post-launch and adapting them for new applications 

Skills and Qualifications

To become an Electrical Design Engineer, candidates typically need:

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; some positions may accept architectural or computer design engineering backgrounds 
• Proficiency in circuit theory, control systems, power distribution, and electromagnetic principles.
• Experience with design software such as Altium Designer, CAD tools, and simulation platforms 
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to work with clients and internal teams 
• Knowledge of safety standards, testing procedures, and documentation practices.
