Job Description:
| To lead industrial automation initiatives within the Process Engineering function by developing, implementing and maintaining PLC/HMI/SCADA-based automation systems, robotics, vision systems and manufacturing data acquisition systems, that improve manufacturing efficiency, process capability, quality, traceabilit, and productivity across Lithium-Ion Battery, Lead-Acid Battery and Inverter manufacturing operations through digitalization and continuous improvement. | 1. Design, program, commission, and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, servo, robotics, machine vision and industrial communication systems. 2. Drive automation for Lithium-Ion Battery, Lead-Acid Battery, and Inverter manufacturing to improve OEE, quality, productivity, traceability and process reliability. 3. Lead NPI, pilot builds, machine integration, process validation and production ramp-up activities. 4. Develop and optimize PLC logic, HMI, data acquisition, recipe management, alarms and safety interlocks. 5. Integrate manufacturing equipment with MES, SCADA, IoT, barcode/RFID and database systems for digitalization. 6. Troubleshoot automation issues, perform RCA/CAPA and minimize equipment downtime. 7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and machine suppliers to implement automation and continuous improvement projects. 8. Maintain automation documentation, software backups, SOPs, and validation records, while ensuring compliance with QMS, EHS and electrical safety standards. |
Technical Competencies 1. Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, Delta) and HMI/SCADA (WinCC, Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk, iFIX). 2. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA), servo/VFDs, robotics, and motion control. 3. Experience with machine vision, barcode/RFID, MES integration, SQL, Industry 4.0, and manufacturing data acquisition. 4. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN, control panel design, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and automation analytics (Python/VBA). Soft Skills 1. | To lead Process Engineering activities for PCB manufacturing by establishing robust and capable manufacturing processes across SMT, THT, wave soldering, selective soldering, reflow soldering, conformal coating, ICT/FCT/BON, burn-in and final assembly operations. The role is responsible for improving First Pass Yield (FPY), solder joint quality, process capability, productivity, line efficiency, and manufacturing capacity through data-driven process optimization, root cause analysis and Lean Manufacturing, while supporting successful industrialization of new products and sustaining world-class manufacturing performance. | 1. Develop, validate, and optimize PCB assembly processes including SMT, THT, reflow/wave soldering, conformal coating, ICT/FCT, and final assembly, while ensuring ESD compliance. 2. Lead NPI, pilot builds, process validation, and production ramp-up activities. 3. Improve FPY, process capability, productivity, line efficiency, capacity, and quality through process optimization. 4. Optimize reflow and wave soldering processes to achieve reliable solder joints and product quality. 5. Drive RCA, CAPA, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Lean initiatives for continuous improvement. 6. Prepare and maintain SOPs, WIs, PFMEA, Control Plans, and validation documents. 7. Collaborate with Design, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and suppliers to stabilize and improve manufacturing processes. 8. Ensure compliance with IPC standards, QMS, EHS, and ESD requirements. |
Technical Skills 1. Strong knowledge of SMT, THT, reflow/wave/selective soldering, conformal coating, ICT/FCT, and PCB assembly. 2. Hands-on experience in process optimization, solder profiling, process validation, defect analysis, and yield improvement. 3. Proficient in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP/WI, SPC, Cp/Cpk, RCA, 8D, CAPA, and NPI. 4. Experience in line balancing, cycle time optimization, productivity improvement, and IPC standards, ESD, AOI/SPI, X-ray, Lean, and Kaizen. Soft Skills 1. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 2. Effective communication, cross-functional coordination, and teamwork. 3.
