Exact workdays and hours to be agreed. Role purpose Keep physical stock, records and daily store operations accurate so the selling team can serve customers reliably. Key responsibilities      Receive, tag and record merchandise; verify quantities and supporting documents. Track transfers, trials, alterations, returns and dispatches with a clear audit trail. Run cycle counts and investigate stock differences with merchandising and sales colleagues. Follow opening, closing and store readiness checklists; coordinate vendor and service follow-ups. Prepare daily stock and exception reports and support billing reconciliation without approving unauthorised adjustments. Desired candidate Prefer 1–3 years in retail stock or store operations. Retail inventory experience; careful data entry; Excel or Sheets and willingness to learn the store system; reliable follow-through and clear communication. Success measures Inventory record accuracy, unposted stock movements, unresolved discrepancies, dispatch accuracy and daily checklist completion. Establish baseline accuracy in the first month. First 90 days 30 days: learn stock systems and resolve priority record gaps. 60 days: run counts and movement controls independently. 90 days: sustain accurate records and timely exception closure. Selection exercise Reconcile a sample opening stock, sales, returns and transfer file; identify missing records and corrective actions.
