Job Description:

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to manage the end-to-end finance, accounting, regulatory reporting, taxation and compliance functions for a growing insurance/reinsurance operation at GIFT City.The role will work closely with senior management, auditors, tax advisors, regulators and international finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls and timely compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Control
• Manage books of accounts, general ledger, sub-ledgers and month-end closing.
• Handle accounting and reconciliation of insurance/reinsurance premiums, claims, commissions and related transactions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, variance analysis and reporting.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and audit trails.
• Work with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS 17 / Ind AS.

Regulatory & Statutory Reporting
• Prepare and submit periodic financial, solvency and business returns to IFSCA.
• Manage applicable SEZ / IFSC compliance filings and reporting.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate statutory and tax audits and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
• Support internal, group and transfer pricing audits.

Taxation
• Manage corporate income tax, MAT, advance tax, income-tax returns and TDS compliance.
• Oversee transfer pricing compliance and related documentation.
• Manage GST compliance, including periodic returns, annual returns, input tax credit and reverse-charge requirements.
• Handle cross-border tax documentation and withholding tax requirements.
• Coordinate with tax advisors and authorities on assessments and queries.

Treasury & Stakeholder Management
• Support banking operations, payments, payroll-related remittances and fund management.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, bankers, regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with international finance teams on reporting and consolidation requirements.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation and standardisation of finance operations.

Requirements:
• CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 8–12 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Mandatory experience in an insurance or reinsurance company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, regulatory and statutory reporting.
• Good understanding of IFRS / IFRS 17 / Ind AS.
• Strong knowledge of Indian direct and indirect taxation.
• Experience in audit, GST, TDS and transfer pricing compliance.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a growing/start-up environment
