Job Title: HOD Laboratory / General Manager – Ferro Alloys
Industry: Ferro Alloys / Steel / Metallurgical Plant
Department: Quality Control / Laboratory
Experience: 15–25 Years in Ferro Alloys / Steel / Metallurgical Laboratory
Qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry / B.E./B.Tech Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Head and manage the Ferro Alloys Laboratory and Quality Control operations.
• Supervise chemical analysis of raw materials, process samples and finished ferro alloy products.
• Monitor testing of materials such as Mn ore, chrome ore, coke, coal, fluxes and ferro alloys.
• Ensure accurate analysis of Mn, Si, C, P, S, Cr and other required elements.
• Manage laboratory instruments including OES, XRF, spectrometer and wet chemical analysis equipment.
• Establish and monitor laboratory SOPs, testing methods and quality standards.
• Ensure calibration, maintenance and proper utilization of laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate with Production, Process, Stores and Quality departments.
• Investigate quality deviations and support RCA and corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory records, test reports and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / quality-management and laboratory safety requirements.
• Lead and develop laboratory staff and ensure efficient shift operations.
• Present quality/MIS reports to senior management.
