Executive - Pattern Shop (Mandal)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional Milling and Lathe machines efficiently and safely.
• Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, threading, grooving and other machining operations.
• Carry out milling, slotting, keyway and other machining activities as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Manufacture and modify patterns, tools, fixtures, dies and machine components.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, cutters, speeds and feeds according to the job.
• Perform machine setting, tool changing and basic troubleshooting.
• Check dimensions using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge and other measuring instruments.
• Maintain required accuracy and surface finish of components.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Pattern, Production and Maintenance teams.
• Maintain machines, tools and work area in good condition.
• Follow all safety, quality and housekeeping (5S) standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in Lathe & Milling machine operation.
• Knowledge of Tool Room / Pattern Shop activities.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
• Knowledge of different cutting tools and machining processes.
• Ability to work independently and meet production requirements.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Tool & Die / Machinist / Fitter or equivalent.
