Fire Protection Design Engineer
Job Description:
A) Job Description
Design fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm & detection, and fire suppression systems.
Prepare layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, piping isometrics, and system
schematics.
Ensure designs comply with NFPA, IS, TAC, NBC, and local fire authority norms.
Select and size equipment — pumps, valves, sprinklers, hydrants, detectors, panels.
Coordinate with clients/authorities for fire NOC and TAC approvals.
Prepare BOQs, specs, and tender documentation.
Support execution teams with drawings, site queries, and design changes.
Assist in site surveys, testing, and commissioning.
Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality and Execution teams.
B) Technical Skills Required
B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical
3–5 years' experience in fire protection system design
(hydrant/sprinkler/alarm/suppression).
Understanding of fire pumps, sprinklers, detectors, and control panels.
Tendering/BOQ and fire authority liaison experience a plus.
Strong analytical skills and good coordination ability.
