JOB TITLE: Site Civil Engineer

LOCATION: Whitefield, Bangalore | Site-based

EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years

QUALIFICATION: Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil Engineering

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and supervise daily labour deployment as per item-rate subcontract requirements.

• Verify measured work before weekly payment certification.

• Raise material indents and verify incoming materials against DC and PO.

• Maintain stock and consumption registers, control wastage and reconcile materials at month end.

• Supervise RCC work including shuttering, reinforcement as per BBS, cover, pour sequence, vibration and curing records.

• Supervise masonry and plaster work, including block masonry using cement-free blocks such as Agrocrete and Novastone.

• Complete pre-pour, pre-concealment and finishing checklists.

• Take joint measurements with the client's engineer and maintain the measurement book.

• Provide quantity inputs to the billing team for RA billing.

• Maintain daily progress reports, labour reports, site instruction registers and photographic records.

• Ensure site safety and housekeeping.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Diploma, BE or BTech in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of site execution experience in residential or commercial building projects.

• Working knowledge of RCC and masonry execution.

• Knowledge of relevant IS codes.

• Hands-on experience in billing, site measurements, abstracts, quantity reconciliation and RA bill inputs.

• Experience in material and labour management on a live construction site.

• Strong English communication skills for issuing instructions, preparing DPRs and communicating with clients and consultants.

• Telugu and Kannada preferred.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

• Experience with measurement or ERP systems is an advantage.

SELECTION PROCESS:

• Technical interview covering RCC, masonry and site practices.

• Measurement and billing exercise.

• Reference checks with two most recent employers.

• Candidates should provide two referees from their two most recent employers at Site In-Charge or Project Manager level.
