Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Tool Room Technician with experience in tool and die maintenance, AutoCAD drawing reading, and standard tool room operations. The candidate should be capable of handling tools, dies, fixtures, and supporting production activities by ensuring timely maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot tools, dies, molds, and fixtures.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of tooling equipment.
- Operate tool room machines such as:
- Lathe Machine
- Milling Machine
- Surface Grinder
- Drilling Machine
- Bench Grinder
- Carry out tool setting, fitting, and assembly work.
- Monitor tool performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
- Maintain tool room records and inventory of spare parts and consumables.
- Follow all safety standards and housekeeping requirements.
Required Qualifications
- ITI (Tool & Die Maker/Fitter/Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Tool Room operations and maintenance.
Experience Required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Tool Room operations.
- Hands-on experience in reading AutoCAD drawings.
- Experience working with Tools & Dies, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills Required
- AutoCAD drawing reading and interpretation.
- Tool & Die maintenance.
- Knowledge of machining processes.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
