Job Description:
Key Responsibilities

Manage the overall mechanical maintenance activities of the plant.

Plan and execute preventive, predictive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance.

Ensure maximum availability and reliability of plant machinery and equipment.

Supervise maintenance of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, crushers, fans, motors, and hydraulic systems.

Handle maintenance of DRI kilns, coolers, material handling systems, and other plant equipment, as applicable.

Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.

Prepare maintenance schedules, budgets, and annual shutdown plans.
-
Monitor spare parts inventory, maintenance costs, and equipment performance.
-
Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Projects departments.
-
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO, SOPs, and permit-to-work systems.
-
Lead, train, and manage engineers, supervisors, fitters, and technicians.

Prepare maintenance reports, equipment history, and performance MIS.
